§ 06 · Pricing

The cost
of a second
set of hands.

Fewer than three coffees a week for the version that runs every morning, drafts every email, and never asks for a holiday.

From the founder

"We charge less than the salary of one bad hire — because Solodot is the better hire, and you only need it once."

§ 06.2 · The economics

Why we charge so much less than the work is worth.

Pricing isn't a margin game for us. The model costs are real and small. The leverage you get is real and large. We'd rather widen the gap than the price.

▸ Model cost

What an average operator pays in tokens

$18.40 / mo

Calibrated to Claude Sonnet 4.6 pricing — the average of 47 dogfooding accounts running 4 teams, 12 agents, ~340 tasks per month.

— Anthropic API · billing snapshot · Apr 2026
▸ Time recovered

Hours per week the average operator gets back

11.2 hrs

Self-reported across our first 200 evaluations. Most of it from invoicing, content drafting, scheduling, and the morning catch-up that no longer happens.

— Solodot internal · 2026 Q1 study
▸ Comparable hire

What a part-time virtual assistant costs

$1,200+ / mo

10 hrs/week at the low end of US-based rates ($30/hr). Doesn't include onboarding, supervision, or the time you'll spend writing handover notes.

▸ Our cap

What we promise we'll never do

No surge pricing

If you blow past your monthly task limit, we'll throttle gracefully and email you. We won't auto-charge an overage. The model costs less than you think; we'll always tell you.

§ 06.3 · Questions

What people actually ask before they sign up.

Is this an evaluation or a free trial? +
An evaluation. 14 days, no card up front, no auto-conversion. At the end, we send you a one-page summary of what your agents actually did — tasks completed, hours recovered, tokens spent — and you decide.
What happens if I hit my task limit? +
We throttle gracefully, finish flows already in motion, and email you. We never auto-charge overages. If you've outgrown the plan, the upgrade button is one click and pro-rates from the day you press it.
Can I bring my own model / API key? +
Yes — Studio plan and above. Bring your Anthropic key and we bill you a flat platform fee instead of a metered rate. Most operators don't bother; the model costs are too small to optimise.
What about my data? +
Your data is yours. We don't train on it. Agent memory lives in your workspace and you can purge it any time. We use Anthropic's API with a zero-retention agreement — no human review, no training. Full DPA on request.
Why are agents "teams" instead of just bots? +
Single agents drift. Teams hold each other accountable — a planner sets the goal, a generator does the work, an evaluator checks it. Our success rate jumped from 71% to 93% the moment we wired in evaluators. The triad is the unit.
Can I cancel mid-month? +
Yes. One click in the console. We refund the unused portion if you cancel within 30 days of upgrading from Solo. After that, your plan runs to the end of the cycle and then stops.
What's NOT in any plan today? +
Voice / phone agents. Mobile apps. Multi-language flows beyond English, Spanish, and French. We're being deliberate — better to ship the four teams brilliantly than ten teams adequately. Roadmap is public.
How do I know it works for my business? +
You won't, until you try. Most operators see the ROI in the first three days — the first time the morning brief has already drafted the email they were dreading. If it doesn't, the evaluation costs you nothing and you'll have learned something about your workflow.
§ 06.4 · Founding members

Lock in founding pricing before we open to everyone.

We're taking 50 founding members at a rate we'll never offer again. In exchange: you help shape the product — one 20-min call, honest feedback, that's it.

Founding Solo · 50 spots
$ 19 / mo · locked forever
vs $29 after founding round closes · 35% off, permanent
No card now. We confirm the spot, then collect payment when access opens. Cancel any time.
What founding members get
  • +Founding rate locked for life — $19/mo while everyone else pays $29+
  • +First cohort access — you get in before the public waitlist opens
  • +Direct line to the founder — one call, your workflows shape the roadmap
  • +Founding member badge in console — visible in your account forever
  • +Free upgrade path to Atelier if you outgrow Solo — at founding discount
50 spots. We're not artificially limiting this — we genuinely can't run quality 1:1 onboarding at scale yet. This cohort closes when it fills.
